3rd Party Services
This plugin connects to an external service to load the consent banner, to verify your website key, and to fetch the website key automatically after activation.

Automatic setup:
When the plugin has no website key, it sends your site’s domain, the plugin version and a random one-time token to the automatic setup API. Until setup completes, the site publishes that token at https://your-domain/?conzent_claim=1 so the Conzent server can confirm that the plugin runs on that domain. No personal data, user data or page content is sent. Automatic setup only works for a site that already exists in your Conzent account; it never creates anything. Define CONZENT_AUTO_SETUP as false in wp-config.php to switch it off.
Self-Hosted (OCI):
If you operate a self-hosted Conzent OCI instance, you can configure the Server URL in the plugin settings to point to your own server. In this case, all communication occurs with your own infrastructure.

Automatic installation
– Go to Plugins from your WordPress dashboard and select Add New Plugin.
– Search for “Conzent Cookie Banner” and Install Now.
– Click Activate to enable the plugin.
Manual installation
– Download the Conzent Cookie Banner plugin zip file from the WordPress.org page.
– Go to Plugins from your WordPress dashboard and select Add New Plugin.
– Click Upload Plugin and choose the downloaded zip file.
– Click Install Now and after installation, click Activate Plugin.
Alternatively, you can upload the zip using the FTP application. Extract the zip file and upload the folder to your /wp-content/plugins/ directory. Once uploaded, activate the plugin from your WordPress dashboard.
To connect the plugin to the Conzent web app:
– Create the site in your Conzent account first (General, then Sites).
– After activation the plugin asks Conzent for the website key of your domain. If the site exists in your account, nothing else is needed and the banner is live within minutes.
– Otherwise the plugin shows a notice and keeps checking on its own: create the site in Conzent and the plugin configures itself within minutes. Retry now on the settings page skips the wait, and you can always enter the website key by hand.
– Automation tools (MainWP, ManageWP, WP-CLI) can install and activate the plugin on many sites in one go; each site picks up its own key. Under WP-CLI, wp plugin activate getconzent_wp returns with the result, and wp conzent status shows the state.
Plugin updates
Every time we update the plugin, you will see a notification on the installed plugins page. You can directly update the plugin from the WordPress dashboard. We recommend keeping the plugin updated to benefit from new functionality and security features.

What does this plugin do?

Visitors can reject the category of cookies they don’t want to be installed. In such cases, all cookies in that category will be blocked for the user.
But if another plugin adds scripts or places a cookie, we have no control. We have no way of knowing what plugins you use or how they work, so blocking or deleting cookies on a WordPress website may break your site. Larger websites with substantial budgets may well invest in such technology, but this plugin aims to help you provide a certain level of compliance without taking drastic action.

How does automatic setup work?
