Plugin allow you to run most important test for performance: request time, number of database queries, memory usage

You will be able to detect plugin which cause troubles and result with longer waiting time for request results

Testings are executed based on your homepage

How to use it?

In Dashboard go to Tools->Profiler What Slowing Down

Click on run test on all plugins (first link) and then near wanted plugin, run few tests and compare results

If you get significantly lower results, means that this plugin causing slowness

Hint: Lower numbers are better, means that page load faster without this specific plugin

Why we make it?

The big factors that can make WordPress slow are Using unoptimized plugins, which makes large number of database queries and using large memory resources on server.

After old good plugin P3 Profiler stop working properly and was actually closed, we find a good way to measure this big factors like execution time, numer of queries, memory usage and
compare it in nice report, what will help you to make your website really much faster.

Avoid This Plugin – It Crashed My Entire Website

I installed Profiler – What’s Slowing Down Your WP to identify performance issues on my WordPress site. Unfortunately, it caused far more harm than good. After running the plugin, my entire website went down, showing a critical error. I had to manually access my hosting account, deactivate all plugins via FTP, and then reactivate them one by one to restore my site. Took me more than 1hr of work! It’s supposed to help optimize your site, but instead, it creates more problems than it solves. If you value your website’s stability, I strongly recommend avoiding this plugin. Look for alternatives.

Crashed my website

This crashed my website and caused a fatal error in front-end and back-end. It took me 2 hours to fix it back. I am a web developer so I did it myself but what about other users, they might get in big trouble. Don’t use this plugin. It’s waste of time and you will get your website in trouble.

Crashed the entire website after scan

When it ran the first scan I got the result, but it caused a critical error on the website. I had to manually deactivate plugins, then disable this plugin. It crashed the Woocommerce installation. Take backups before use, like I did!

Pros: it works Cons: if it’s not the matter of plugin – you’ll never know what’s causing 26K of queries at your WP
