Data and privacy
- External request: The block fetches JSON news data from
https://wpapi.stocktitan.net/api/news/json. - Personal data: No personal user data is sent; requests include only the parameters needed to render the feed.
- Caching: Responses are stored in a WordPress transient (2-minute TTL). Subsequent requests use HTTP conditional GET (ETag / If-None-Match), so unchanged data returns as HTTP 304 with zero payload — no bandwidth consumed regardless of traffic volume.

Tested up to WordPress 7.1. Accessibility and readability fixes: the NASDAQ and Financial Times presets now meet the 4.5:1 contrast minimum for ticker symbols, links announce that they open in a new tab, and summaries no longer cut off mid-word. Tag badges now tint from the surrounding text color so they stay visible on dark themes. The “Theme default” preset no longer overrides your theme’s link colors — headlines and the attribution link now inherit them, as they did before a preset was chosen. Bundled German, Spanish, French and Italian translations now load correctly: they were shipped in a format WordPress never read, so the editor controls, block title and front-end strings stayed in English. The translations themselves were also rewritten with proper accented characters instead of ASCII approximations.
