Reviews are downloaded once (with reviewer avatars and star ratings), stored in your WordPress database, and served from your own server for fast page loads — no external calls on every visit. Perfect for contractor websites, service landing pages, and local business sites. Each review can display the Thumbtack logo so visitors know the feedback is verified social proof from Thumbtack. ### Why use WP Thumbtack Review Slider? * Display **Thumbtack reviews** with a shortcode, widget, or PHP template tag. * Build an engaging **review slider** (or responsive grid) without writing code. * Download reviews with **reviewer photos (avatars)** and star ratings. * Add multiple Thumbtack business pages and choose which source each template shows. * Keep reviews on your server for better performance and control. * Place a summary badge (rating, review count, and Review us button) next to your reviews. * Create multiple review templates for different pages, posts, and sidebars. ### How Thumbtack reviews work 1. Open **Get Thumbtack Reviews** and paste your Thumbtack Business Page URL. 2. Click **Download Reviews** to copy reviews (with avatars) into your WordPress database. 3. Create a review template and paste the shortcode into a post, page, or widget area. ### Feature list * Lightweight plugin code designed for speed. * Download Thumbtack reviews with reviewer avatars and store them locally. * Free version downloads up to about 10 newest reviews per Thumbtack page (Pro can download more). * Add more than one Thumbtack business page and download reviews for each source separately. * Display reviews in a slider, grid, or rows. * Two review layouts: classic style and a modern card layout (Style 6). * Choose which Thumbtack business page each template shows reviews from. * Mobile-friendly responsive design for contractor and local service sites. * Use on a Page or Post with a shortcode or widget. * Create unlimited review templates for different areas of your site. * Tabbed template settings for Style, General, Filter, and Badge options. * Live preview while you edit colors, stars, dates, avatars, verified badge, and custom CSS. * Avatar options: show real photos, hide, mystery image, or initials. * Filter by minimum star rating so you can hide low reviews. * Add a read more link and customize its text. * Place a Thumbtack rating summary badge next to your reviews. * Hide reviews that do not include text. * Sort reviews randomly or by newest. * Show multiple reviews per row with multiple rows. Download your reviews manually whenever you want. Saved sources can also refresh on a daily schedule. Install the plugin, download your Thumbtack business reviews from the Get Thumbtack Reviews page, create a template, then paste the shortcode into any post, page, or widget area. You can show reviews as a slider or a responsive grid. ### Can I show Thumbtack reviews as testimonials on my contractor website? Yes. That is the main use case. Contractors and local service businesses use this plugin to turn Thumbtack client reviews into on-site testimonials and social proof on service pages, landing pages, and homepages. ### Are Thumbtack reviews stored on my server? Yes. When you download, Thumbtack reviews are saved in your WordPress database and loaded from your site — not pulled from Thumbtack on every page view. That helps pages load faster. ### Does the free version download reviewer photos (avatars)? Yes. Recent downloads include reviewer avatar images when Thumbtack provides them. You can also choose mystery or initials avatars in the template settings. ### How many Thumbtack reviews can the free version download? The free version downloads up to about 10 of your newest reviews per Thumbtack business page. The Pro version can download more (or all) reviews from each page. ### Can I use more than one Thumbtack business page? Yes. The free version lets you add multiple Thumbtack Business Page URLs, download reviews for each source, and choose which page each template displays. ### Does the free version download reviews automatically every day? Yes. Saved Thumbtack sources can refresh on a daily schedule. You can also download manually anytime from the Get Thumbtack Reviews page. ### How do I request a new feature?
