Marivya Tutor Manager is a self-hosted workspace for independent tutors, private teachers, language teachers and coaches who want to manage their tutoring activity inside WordPress.

Keep student profiles, lesson schedules, homework, materials and portal access in one place — without creating WordPress accounts for students and without sending your tutoring data to an external SaaS platform.

What you can manage

  • Students — contact details, subject, level, hourly rate, status and notes.
  • Lessons — date, time, duration, status, meeting link, notes and homework.
  • Recurring lessons — create weekly, every-two-weeks or monthly lesson copies.
  • Weekly calendar — review the schedule and move lessons with drag and drop.
  • Materials — save links and resources globally or attach them to a student.
  • Student portal — students can view upcoming lessons, homework and shared materials.
  • Portal access — use a time-limited magic link or a PIN; no WordPress user account is required.
  • Tutor reminders — email reminders for the tutor and an ICS calendar export.
  • Privacy tools — integration with the WordPress personal data exporter and eraser.

A faster first setup

Version 1.8 introduces a guided dashboard that takes a new user through three useful steps:

  1. Add a student.
  2. Schedule a lesson.
  3. Preview the student portal.

You can also create an optional sample workspace with fictional students, lessons and materials. Sample content is marked separately and can be removed with one click without touching your own data.

Student portal

The portal page is created automatically during activation. A student can enter through a magic link or use their email address and PIN. The portal can display:

  • upcoming lessons;
  • homework;
  • shared materials;
  • lesson history;
  • meeting links.

Privacy and ownership

  • No telemetry is enabled.
  • No tutoring data is sent to Marivya or another external service.
  • Student, lesson and material records remain in your WordPress database.
  • Portal sessions use an HTTP-only cookie with SameSite=Lax.
  • WordPress privacy export and erase tools are supported.

Marivya Tutor Manager is independent and is not affiliated with any LMS or tutoring marketplace.

نصب

  1. Install the plugin from Plugins Add New, or upload the plugin ZIP.
  2. Activate Marivya Tutor Manager.
  3. Follow the three-step dashboard shown after activation.
  4. Add a student and schedule the first lesson, or create the removable sample workspace first.
  5. Open the automatically created student portal from the dashboard or Settings page.

Is this a full LMS?

No. It is a lightweight management workspace for independent tutors. It does not provide courses, quizzes, memberships or student WordPress accounts.

Can I create recurring lessons in the free plugin?

Yes. Open or create a lesson and use the Repeat lesson box to create weekly, every-two-weeks or monthly copies. Matching duplicate dates for the same student are skipped.

Can I change an entire recurring series later?

Not yet. The recurring tool creates independent lesson copies. Each generated lesson can then be edited separately.

How does a student open the portal?

Open the student profile and use the Student Portal access box. You can generate a time-limited magic link or set a PIN. Students do not need WordPress accounts.

Is the sample workspace safe to remove?

Yes. Every sample student, lesson and material is marked with dedicated metadata. The remove action deletes only marked sample content and leaves your own records untouched.

Can I translate the interface?

Yes. Version 1.8 no longer forces WordPress core labels to remain in English. The plugin uses the marivya-lesson-planner text domain and can be translated through the standard WordPress.org translation system.

Does the plugin send usage data?

No. There is no automatic telemetry or external tracking.

How do I export or erase personal data?

Use Tools Export Personal Data or Tools Erase Personal Data. Marivya registers its student, lesson and material data with those WordPress tools.

Does uninstall remove all tutoring content?

By default, plugin options and sensitive portal access metadata are removed, while students, lessons and materials are preserved.

To remove all plugin content during uninstall, define:
