WLC Search Integration with Algolia connects your WordPress site to the Algolia search service. Configure which post types to index, define the schema and facets, and use the bundled blocks to build search pages and autocomplete experiences.

This plugin is developed by White Label Coders and is not affiliated with, endorsed, or sponsored by Algolia. Algolia is a registered trademark of Algolia SAS.

External service

This plugin connects to the Algolia API (an external, third-party service) to index your content and serve search results. An Algolia account is required.

  • Data sent: content of the post types you choose to index (titles, excerpts, selected fields) is sent to Algolia’s servers when you run or schedule indexing. Search queries typed by visitors are sent to Algolia to retrieve results.
  • Endpoints used: https://<application-id>.algolia.net / https://<application-id>-dsn.algolia.net (Algolia Search API).
  • Service provider: Algolia SAS — Terms of Service, Privacy Policy.

Source code

Human-readable source for the Gutenberg blocks lives in blocks/src/. Compiled assets under blocks/build/ are generated from that source with @wordpress/scripts.

To rebuild the block assets:

  1. cd blocks
  2. npm install
  3. npm run build

Third-party PHP libraries are vendored under vendor/ via Composer (composer.json / composer.lock). Frontend search UI dependencies (Algolia InstantSearch / Autocomplete and related packages) are declared in blocks/package.json and bundled into the compiled block assets.

  • Result Field Renders a single indexed field value for a hit (builder template block).
  • Result Button Renders a CTA button for a hit (builder template block).
  • Result Title Renders a title for a single Algolia hit (builder template block).

نصب

  1. Upload the plugin to /wp-content/plugins/wlc-search-integration-with-algolia/.
  2. Activate the plugin in the WordPress admin.
  3. Go to the plugin settings page and complete the setup wizard with your Algolia Application ID and API keys.

Where do I get Algolia API keys?

Sign up at algolia.com and create an application. Use the Application ID and the appropriate API keys (Search-only for frontend, Admin for indexing) in the plugin settings.
