Astragate Payment Gateway for WooCommerce enables your store to accept payments via the Astragate payment platform.
This official integration connects your WooCommerce store with Astragate’s secure payment infrastructure, allowing customers to complete transactions smoothly while keeping sensitive payment data off your server.
Data Sent to Astragate
When a customer initiates a payment, the following order information is securely transmitted to Astragate to create the checkout session:
- Line items (product ID, name, quantity, and unit price)
- Order currency
- Unique correlator ID (transaction reference)
- Order description
- Order ID
- Customer name, email, and phone number (from billing details)
- Store URL
- Plugin version and source identifier (
WOOCOMMERCE)
No card or mobile money credentials are ever processed or stored by this plugin. All sensitive payment data is handled exclusively by Astragate.

Getting Started
- Install and activate the plugin

External services
This plugin connects to the Astragate payment service to process Card and Mobile Money payments through Astragate’s hosted checkout.
It sends order and customer information (line items, currency, order ID, customer name, email, phone, and store URL) when a customer initiates a payment. It also communicates with Astragate when processing refunds and receiving payment status callbacks.

Automatic installation
- Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard
- Navigate to Plugins Add New
- Search for “Astragate Payment Gateway for WooCommerce”
- Click Install Now, then Activate
Manual installation
- Download the plugin zip file
- Go to Plugins Add New Upload Plugin
- Choose the zip file and click Install Now
- Activate the plugin
Configuration
- Go to WooCommerce Settings Payments
- Locate Astragate and click Manage
- Enter your Astragate client ID and client secret
- Enable Test Mode while setting up
- Save changes
After configuration, place a test order to verify the full payment flow (redirect payment return).
