EDigital Cookie Consent (בעברית: תוסף עוגיות חינמי לוורדפרס) is a 100% free WordPress plugin that displays a cookie-consent banner on your website and automatically blocks tracking scripts enqueued through WordPress (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Facebook Pixel, and more) until the visitor gives consent.
Unlike many similar plugins, every feature is free – there is no “Pro” version, no locked options, and no hidden paywall.

- Upload the plugin folder to
/wp-content/plugins/, or install the ZIP file via “Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin”. - Activate the plugin through the “Plugins” screen.
- Go to “Cookie Consent” in the admin menu to configure the banner, categories, and design.
- In the “Privacy Policy” tab, either link to your existing Privacy Policy page or generate a new draft.
- Test that blocking works correctly using Debug mode (General tab).

Does the plugin block every script on my site?

It blocks scripts enqueued via WordPress’s
wp_enqueue_script()and automatically recognizes common handles (Google Analytics, GTM, Facebook Pixel, and more). Scripts hard-coded directly into theme files are not blocked. -
Can I change the colors and design?

Yes – the Design tab lets you change every color, font size, border radius, shadow, spacing, and animation.

Where is the consent log stored?

In a dedicated table in your own WordPress database (
wp_edigcc_consent_log). No data is ever sent to an external server. -
Is this really free, or is there a paid version?

It’s genuinely 100% free with all features unlocked – forever. There is no paid tier. If you’d like to support development, a voluntary PayPal donation is available in the plugin’s settings screen.

Is the admin interface available in English?

The admin interface is currently in Hebrew, built for a Hebrew-speaking audience. Once the plugin is live on WordPress.org, translations (including English) can be contributed via translate.wordpress.org.
