ChatX is an AI-powered assistant developed by SoftXAsia.

This plugin connects your WooCommerce store to ChatX Cloud so your AI chat assistant can answer product questions using up-to-date catalog data.

Features:

Translations:

English (default), Vietnamese (vi), and Chinese Simplified (zh_CN). The plugin automatically uses your WordPress site language.

Requirements:

  • PHP 7.4+
  • WordPress 5.8 or later
  • WooCommerce (for product indexing features)
  • A ChatX Cloud account and API key

Privacy Policy

This plugin connects to ChatX Cloud, an external service operated by SoftXAsia.

Data sent to ChatX Cloud:

  • Product catalog data when you index or reindex products (name, SKU, price, stock, categories, description, URLs)
  • Your site domain and site name when registering the chat widget

Data loaded from ChatX Cloud:

  • A chat JavaScript file is loaded on the frontend when the chat widget option is enabled

نصب

  1. Upload the softxasia-catalog-chat-integration folder to /wp-content/plugins/ or install via the Plugins screen.
  2. Activate the plugin through the Plugins menu.
  3. Go to Catalog Chat in the admin sidebar.
  4. Enter your API key from your ChatX Cloud dashboard (app.chatx.cloud).
  5. Enable the options you need and save changes.

Do I need a ChatX Cloud account?

Yes. This plugin requires a ChatX Cloud account and API key to sync products and enable the chat widget.

Does the plugin work without WooCommerce?

The chat widget can be configured without WooCommerce, but product indexing requires WooCommerce to be active.

Where is my API key stored?

Your API key is stored in the WordPress database and is only used for server-side requests. It is never exposed to site visitors.

What data is sent to ChatX Cloud?

When indexing products, the plugin sends product information such as name, SKU, price, stock, categories, description, URL, and image URL to ChatX Cloud so the chat assistant can answer customer questions.
